Boosting KYC conversion with a Unified Verification SDK
Led the design strategy and execution for VIDA's unified SDK, creating a consistent verification experience across KYC, document, and liveness flows. The project directly contributed to VIDA's OKR of achieving a 95% conversion rate across all verification products.

Project Context
This project was launched to support a company-level OKR to achieve a 95% conversion rate across VIDA's verification flows. Alongside security, delivering a frictionless verification experience is a core part of VIDA's brand promise.
I joined as Product Design Lead to lead the strategy and execution of the new unified SDK verification flows.
The Problem
Analysis showed that a large share of rejections stemmed from preventable user errors, primarily poor image quality during capture and demographic data issues such as typos, formatting mistakes, or incomplete inputs.
Because most VIDA customers integrate via APIs, VIDA has limited influence over the final UX, making it difficult to consistently guide users, prevent errors, and deliver on the brand promise of a frictionless experience.
To address this, we needed to design optimized SDK flows that proactively reduce errors and increase first-pass completion across all verification journeys.
My Contribution
- Analyzed verification funnel and rejection data to identify the primary drivers of preventable failures
- Led cross-functional ideation workshops to translate insights into a prioritized backlog of conversion improvements
- Owned the end-to-end design strategy and execution of the unified Verification SDK flows
- Worked closely with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to deliver scalable, production-ready SDK solutions
